Updates....

As of yesterday morning when I stood on the scale I am 116 lbs. That means I have officially lost 100 lbs. My unofficial start weight was 216 lbs. I lost 12 lbs in 3 months without even trying when I switched jobs. Stress is a powerful thing! It can make you fat! Anyway... I am down a total of 100 lbs in 26 months time. Not too shabby. I am fitting into anything from a girls size 14 to a size 4 petites. However, 4's are starting to get baggy on me. I'm only 5' tall and even though I look thin, I have a TREMENDOUS amount of lean body mass or muscle. I recently had to start monitoring my calories again and increase them and what do you know, I lost another couple of lbs. I was at 118 and then I lost another lb at the beginning of November and on the last day of November I lost yet, ANOTHER pound. I'm not complaining, but I'm not necessarily trying to lose weight. I told myself a while ago that I didn't want to get any smaller than 115 lbs. I have now lost 9 lbs over my original goal weight of 125 lbs. Freaky... Never in my wildest imagination did I ever think I was going to be this lean. I used to dream of being smaller than my hubby, who through the majority of our 10 years of marriage was smaller than me. He's now about 10 lbs heavier than me. UNTHINKABLE!!! I have had a smaller waist than him since May of 06. That was kind of cool. Now my waist is 23 1/2 inches and his is still 29 inches. He's a lean man and always has been, but has managed to actually put on a few lbs of muscle since I started my lifestyle change.

Goals for the new year.... Well, I want to be a more organized person. I want to recycle more, be a better Christian (never can be a good enough Christian, always have to try harder), I want to run, yes, I said RUN a half and a full marathon by the end of 2008. I also want to become a certified personal trainer. It's quite a complicated process. But I'm up for it. In the long term, I also want to go back to school to some day be a registered dietitian. I will maintain a weight of between 115 and 125 for life. I know that now. I can maintain. I have for almost a year now. In 4 months it will be 1 year since I reached goal.

Thanks for reading, God bless!
